Type Overview
Type is a workspace for creating AI teammates that can work with your team, your tools, and their own cloud computers. Each teammate can have its own model harness, connections, skills, tasks, email address, and instructions.
The fastest way to understand Type is to think in six connected concepts:
AI teammates Role-specific agents with cloud computers, identities, permissions, and instructions.
Connectors and skills The apps a teammate can use and the reusable workflows it knows how to follow.
Tasks Scheduled, webhook, app-event, Slack, email, and RSS triggers that start teammate work.
Threads and collaboration The shared work surface for humans, AI teammates, files, apps, skills, and previews.
Documents and apps Living documents and apps teammates can create, update, reference, connect, and share.
Inbox and notifications Your personal queue for notifications, read state, and archived items.
