Notification Preferences

Notification preferences control interruptions. Muting a category stops its external notifications; relevant activity still appears in Notifications or Following.

Delivery preferences

Open Settings → Notifications to choose which activity can interrupt you and whether notification sounds play.

Browser notification delivery is off until you enable it for that browser. Your browser must also grant notification permission. Turning delivery off does not revoke browser permission, so you can enable delivery again without changing that permission.

Following and subscriptions

• Follow a Space to see new root threads from it and its Channels in Following.
• Follow a Channel when you want new threads from that Channel.
• Subscribe to a thread to receive its updates in Notifications. Use its subscription control to unsubscribe.

These controls are independent of notification delivery preferences. Muting external notifications does not unfollow Spaces, unsubscribe from threads, or remove items from Following.

New Spaces

Notifications can announce a Space created by a coworker when you are a member. Private Space announcements are limited to its members. The announcement includes controls to follow or pin the Space.

Use the New Spaces delivery category in Settings → Notifications to control external notifications for these announcements.
