Space Settings
Open the Space menu and choose Space settings. Owners and workspace admins can manage the full setup. Other people may see fewer controls based on their role.
Details
Section titled “Details”Details includes:
- The Space name, description, and orb.
- The default AI runtime, model, reasoning effort, and Fast setting.
- Public or private visibility and member access.
- Notification defaults for activity in the Space.
New threads and automations that use Agent default inherit the AI settings here. Agent default is the current label in the automation model picker.
Instructions
Section titled “Instructions”Open Instructions in Details to edit the Space’s shared guidance. Type includes the current instructions with every message sent to AI in this Space, including messages in existing threads—not only the first message in a new thread.
Access follows the Space. Everyone in a public Space can open the instructions; in a private Space, only current members can open them. The instructions belong only to this Space and cannot be shared, published, renamed, moved to another Space, or archived.
Connections
Section titled “Connections”Connections lists the configured accounts, credentials, APIs, and data sources available to the Space. A connector is a supported integration, such as GitHub or Google Drive. A connection is the specific account or credential you configure through that connector.

Automations
Section titled “Automations”Automations is where you create and manage scheduled or event-driven work for the Space. Each automation sends its result to Threads or a named channel.

Memory
Section titled “Memory”When memory is available, Memory controls whether Type carries useful context forward from earlier activity in the Space.

Skills
Section titled “Skills”Skills live in the Space Library, alongside files and apps. Add a skill there when the Space needs reusable instructions, scripts, or assets.
Danger zone
Section titled “Danger zone”The danger zone holds changes with broad effects, including merging the Space or archiving it. Read the confirmation carefully before continuing.
