Glossary
A shared computer for a department or durable team. It runs Claude or Codex with shared channels, connections, skills, memory, threads, automations, and Library content.
Channel
Section titled “Channel”A named area that organizes work inside a Space without creating a separate computer or setup. Every Space also has a default Threads area.
Sidekick
Section titled “Sidekick”Your private place to work with AI and personal context.
Connector
Section titled “Connector”An app, API, or data-source integration Type knows how to use.
Connection
Section titled “Connection”A configured instance of a connector, usually authenticated with OAuth, an API key, or custom API settings.
A reusable workflow made of Markdown instructions and optional scripts or assets.
Automation
Section titled “Automation”A schedule or event trigger that starts work in a Space.
Memory
Section titled “Memory”Useful context Type carries forward from earlier activity. Memory can be scoped to a workspace, Space, or person.
Document
Section titled “Document”An editable written file that people and AI can create, revise, share, and update.
A web app AI builds for structured work such as a tracker, CRM, dashboard, queue, or internal workflow. An app can have its own database.
Library
Section titled “Library”The place to browse accessible files, apps, and skills. Each Space has a Library, and the global Library helps you find items across the workspace.
Thread
Section titled “Thread”A shared conversation where coworkers can prompt AI together, talk without invoking AI, and keep files, apps, skills, tool calls, and previews together.
Composer
Section titled “Composer”The message input where you write, add context, and choose between a Team message and AI response.
Your personal notification queue. Items can be unread, read, or archived.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The front page of a Space, with a composer, work that needs attention, recent activity, and automation runs.
A one-to-one conversation with another person.
Harness
Section titled “Harness”The technical runtime that executes AI work, such as Type-hosted Claude or Codex, or user-hosted OpenClaw where supported.
