Type Changelog June 2nd 2026

Over the past two weeks we shipped a shared Skills Library for your whole organization, a redesigned sidebar built around recent threads, seven new native integrations, and more capable agents in Slack. Let us know what else you'd like to see us build.

Skills

  • Org-wide skills: Type now has a shared skills library for your whole organization. Publish a skill once, then add those skills to any AI teammate.

  • One source of truth with version control: Skills have an owner and a version history. Any changes made by a coworker create a change request that the owner must approve before it takes effect, so your organization’s skills stay accurate and consistent.

  • Organize with skillsets: Group skills together into skillsets for common roles and workflows like paid marketing, CRM management, and more. We even published our own Google and Meta Ads skillset you can add to a teammate to get started right away.

Recent threads

  • Keep track of everything you’re working on. The sidebar now shows your most recently updated conversations across teammates. Work on multiple things in parallel with AI teammates and keep track of which ones are waiting on you or actively working.

Integrations & Slack

  • Agents got more capable in Slack. When your agent is working inside a Slack thread, it now reads the prior conversation for context before replying. Mid-task, it can pause and ask you a question using an interactive modal directly in Slack.

  • Connect seven new services natively. Microsoft 365 (Outlook and OneDrive), LinkedIn, Twitter, Sentry, HubSpot, Google BigQuery, and Intelligems are all now available as first-party integrations with OAuth. Connect from Settings and your agent can start using them right away. Snowflake, Affinity, and Neon are also available as one-click presets in the Custom API connector.

Quality of life

  • Mermaid diagrams render inline. Drop a fenced mermaid block into any message and it renders as a live diagram: flowcharts, sequence diagrams, ER diagrams, and more. No copy-paste into an external tool.

  • Inbox and admin polish. Select multiple inbox items and archive them in one shot. Workspace admins can now promote other members to admin from the Members page. The Teammate Details page shows which engine powers each teammate.

  • Sidebar filter persistence. The unread, closed, and private thread filters in the sidebar now remember your preference across page loads so you are not reconfiguring them on every visit. The composer now rests in a compact state and expands when you start typing, with skills still one click away.
